Driving
across the Oklahoma is like burrowing through a history book;
unfortunately, it's mostly invisible. Elk City is where the cattle
drovers of the 19th Century caught their breath on their way to
Kansas. Oil hadn't happened yet but, now, you see evidence of it
everywhere. |

Oklahoma
City grew in a series of 'explosions' yet bears the marks of famed
architect I,M.Pei. Detour through downtown (not during rush hour) and
you'll be amazed at how attractive it is.
Continuing
eastward you now see trees - lots of trees. What a change!. |
