Center - From I-81 take exit 50-N and follow NY-12 to the intersection of NY-26 and Church Street. Turn left, go 6 blocks (counting the streets on your right) and turn right on Walton Street. Go another block and turn left on Market Street. The Alexandria Bay Chamber of Commerce is just ahead on your left at 11 Market Street.
Boldt Castle - Six-story replica of a Rhineland castle of George Boldt. The grandest of all Gilded Age mansions, and the setting of a tragic love story. George Boldt, hotel magnate and owner of New York
City's Waldorf-Astoria, began construction of the castle as gift for his beloved wife. When she suddenly passed away he terminated all construction. The abandoned structure sat there exposed to the elements until the island was purchased by the Thousand Island Bridge Authority. They have finished it and opened it to tourists. Uncle Sam Boat Tours - Tours and cruises in custom-built, shallow-draft vessels allowing cruising close to the Thousand Islands.
