Florida ranks
as the country's most famous - or most notorious - state depending
upon who and when. Thousands of residents of America's northeast make an
annual pilgrimage to enjoy Florida's milder winters. But, then, many Floridians
migrate to the more northern climates (especially Western North Carolina)
to escape the Florida hot and humid summers. Interstate 4 connects Tampa-Saint Petersburg on Florida's Gulf Coast to Daytona on Florida's Atlantic Coast. And it passes through Orlando where visitors enjoy the largest collection of major theme parks in the world. Touring Highlights are all along I-4 but particularly around Tampa, Orlando and Daytona. Not only are there beautiful beaches on both coasts, there are the many man-made attractions ranging from Busch Gardens in Tampa to the many theme parks, such as Disney World and Epcot Center, near Orlando. |
